This course is in partnership with Carymoor Environmental Trust.

The course covers the theory, benefits and practical application of traditional skills used in hedgerow management. No previous experience is required, and the course is suitable for beginners.

The course aims are to:

  • Explain the theory of hedge laying

  • Explain the benefits of a good hedgerow management cycle

  • Identify some common native British trees

  • Practice safe cutting techniques

  • You will be allocated your own length of hedge to work on at your own pace over the 2 days.

  • There are no exams or tests.

Entry Requirements

Starter- This course/workshop is suitable if you’re a beginner and want to learn about this subject, and you don’t have relevant knowledge or experience.
