Skill Up Somerset are working with some local large employers who are willing to transfer their levy to smaller local employers, subject to certain criteria.
Who we support
We support both small and large businesses in Somerset:
Small employers who want to take on apprentices but need help covering the training costs.
Large employers who pay the Apprenticeship Levy and want to support smaller local businesses by transferring their unused levy funds.
Businesses across all sectors, including charities and local authorities, are welcome.
How we can help
We connect small businesses with large local employers willing to share their unused Apprenticeship Levy funds. This means:
Small employers may not have to pay any training costs for new apprentices.
Large employers can support other businesses, strengthen their local community, and use levy funds that would otherwise go unused.
We’ll help guide you through the process, whether you want to receive or transfer levy funds.
