Grants Resources Information News (GRIN)

We send out a short grants bulletin each weekday morning (at precisely 8.30am) throughout the year, with the exception of public bank holidays and Christmas/New Year. Each bulletin contains details of 3 national UK grant schemes and 1 local grant programme, together with a news item that we post on our website (see our Homepage (opens in a new tab; external site)). We regularly feature grant schemes that aren’t covered by other databases.

We normally circulate around 240 bulletins each year, containing details of between 800 and 1,000 grant programmes and related resources.

The e-mailed bulletins are prepared the evening before circulation, so content is always up-to-date and we often cover new grant programmes before they become widely available, which can be an advantage to subscribers.

What is Get Somerset Working?

Get Somerset Working is Somerset’s local strategy to reduce economic inactivity and foster a more inclusive and resilient labour market. It presents a bold, collaborative framework aimed at creating opportunities for all residents to access quality employment, overcome challenges such as poor health or caring responsibilities, and contribute to a fairer, more prosperous Somerset.

Connect to Work is a key funded workstream within this initiative, offering intensive, tailored employment support to individuals facing significant barriers to entering the workforce.

Skill Up Somerset are working with some local large employers who are willing to transfer their levy to smaller local employers, subject to certain criteria.
